POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager III is a mid-level role. You will lead Northteq teams through the implementation of our loan/lease origination software. In this role, you are expected to be able to manage projects and tasks of varying sizes and complexity levels independently. PMs are assigned multiple projects at a time, and you will drive project teams toward successful engagements resulting in employee and client satisfaction. You will also be expected to proactively identify and escalate project risks, where appropriate. You will contribute to and lead process improvement initiatives and mentor peer Project Managers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Leads and participates in strategic project planning sessions
  • Manage all aspects of project life-cycle from start to finish.
  • Create and manage project plans including accurate work activities, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Plan, monitor, control, report and communicate on key aspects of the project such as scope, budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and project problems through to closure. This includes identifying and negotiating win/win outcomes.
  • Prepare accurate status reports and steering committee reports and lead status and steering committee meetings.
  • Manage and drive the change control process across the Northteq and client teams.
  • Escalate, keep informed and manage-up to relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Utilize resources in an efficient manner; clearly communicate work assignments and due dates.
  • Coordinate and drive work activities across project team and other Northteq departments as required.
  • Forecast resources accurately for projects assigned.
  • Lead and ensure smooth transitions from sales to PS and PS to support.
  • Build strong relationships with Northteq team and clients.
  • Understand Northteq’s implementation process and ensure project teams are following it.
  • Guide clients in implementation best practices and manage client expectations towards project goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the improvement of professional services process, methodology and templates.
  • Achieve billable targets.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent.

Education and certifications can be earned in role.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must understand the full software development life cycle.

  • Independent worker who can operate with little supervision.
  • Confident and capable of managing multiple customers and projects concurrently.
  • Must have 2+ years Project Management experience in one of the following areas:
    • Software implementation
    • Professional Services capacity
    • Equipment finance, leasing or general commercial lending
    • Salesforce
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred but not required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is remote.
    • If the employee is located in the Twin Cities Metro area of MN, office space can be provided in our WeWork office. 
  • There may be occasional in-person meetings.
  • Travel is minimal but can increase based on client needs.
