Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager owns the strategy and tactics that accelerate revenue growth. This individual will drive impact by establishing and growing a demand generation engine that fuels long term profitable growth for a multimillion-dollar recurring revenue business. This position drives all marketing initiatives, including data & analytics, digital, brand, demand generation, content, and email. The Marketing Manager will be a versatile marketing leader highly skilled in product marketing and demand generation. This is a team of one where the Marketing Manager can be hands-on with functions such as demand generation, content, brand, data & analytics and outsource specialized areas. The ideal candidate can demonstrate proven results driving pipeline and revenue for B2B SaaS or Enterprise Software companies at a similar stage. The equipment finance space is largely network, community, and word of mouth referral based. The ideal candidate will have experience working in this type of demand gen environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Drive revenue growth by contributing marketing-sourced opportunities to the pipeline and improving sales conversion rates through partnerships, sales enablement, and product positioning.
  • Utilize demand generation metrics to ensure marketing programs deliver business impact as measured by new and expanding ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue), pipeline, bookings etc.
  • Work with COO to define overall marketing strategy and execute against this strategy.
  • Develop close relationships with customers, engaging them, and including them into the brand and its story.
  • Grow and nurture thought leadership in the market, fueling market education and narratives that align with company vision, research, and point of view.
  • Drive brand awareness and engagement with our target audience.
  • Ensure tight alignment of marketing strategy with company goals as well as sales, product, and services departments.

Experience & Education

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing B2B enterprise SaaS, ideally in rapid growth $5-20M ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue).
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-tech environment with a proven record of accomplishment of delivery innovative plans that drive revenue.
  • Expertise in marketing technology for demand generation.
  • Experience with brand strategy and multi-channel marketing campaigns including digital (e.g., social) and non-digital (e.g., events) channels. Specifically experience working with referral based industries.
  • Experieance with testing different channels and being innovative and highly creative with new marketing ideas and strategies.
  • Experience in creating or managing cohesive messaging camapigns across multiple channels.
  • Good design “eye” that promotes product positioning of the company.
  • Experience delivering creative and effective messaging for copy that can be used on all marketing content.
  • Proven success building a B2B SaaS or Enterprise Software brand narrative by using customer/prospects insights, analyzing competitors, and developing messaging and positioning that encapsulates the tangible and intangible aspects of the brand.
  • Relationships and experience managing vendors in lead sourcing, email nurture, digital advertising, etc.
  • Experience monitoring and analyzing data – including deeper-funnel metrics – to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Keen ability to draw insights from data that will influence strategy and execution of demand generation.
  • Enthusiastic problem-solver who can improvise and think creatively while optimizing on spend.
  • Excellent written communication skills, able to convey complex ideas in a way that is easy to consume.
  • Extreme ownership and drive.
  • Creative and resourceful.

Working Conditions

  • This position is remote.
    • If the employee is in the Twin Cities Metro area of MN, office space can be provided in our WeWork office.
  • There may be occasional in-person meetings.
  • Travel is minimal.
